Oil Painting Taster Day
 
10am-4pm on the 5th of April at 8 Spring Gardens, Haverfordwest, SA61 2EJ 

Everything you need is included in the price as well as a hot Lunch and refreshments. 
 
This one-day taster course is the perfect introduction to oil painting, with our tutor Suzon bringing their contagious enthusiasm and passion for colours. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on experiments, you'll learn how to handle oil paint and develop an understanding of working from life, drawing inspiration from a vibrant still life. By the end of the day, you will know that oil painting is not as daunting as it seems, and will go home with a mono-chrome study and a full-colour painting through which you’d have explored:
Colour mixing
Shape & tone
Composition
Paint application & mark-making
 
Held in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, this course is perfect for beginners. If you enjoy it, you can continue with our Oil Painting for Beginners courses.
All material provided, please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy.

About our tutor: Suzon is a figurative artist, working primarily in oils. Sharing their passion is fundamental to their practice, with a particular affinity for colours. You might have seen them painting on TV through Portrait Artist of the Year and Landscape Artist of the Year!
