Barbara lives in north Pembrokeshire gives her an endless supply of inspiration with its unique wildness and light. Colour and shadows have become an obsession for her as they are transformed into a myriad of mysterious dark tones. Barbara has always painted and is constantly seeing future paintings in the area where she lives and is inspired by the dramatic light and constant changing colours. Barbara is constantly striving to show every single colour she sees around her. Trained in textiles and making patchwork quilts in my workshop in the 80s her paintings always seem to retain a textile influence.
