 2ft X 2'8ft

The piece is called “Togetherness ” and depicts an abstract view of people coming together after lockdown.

My inspiration for this artwork is the lifting of boundaries to be able to meet and enjoy each other’s company again.

The piece relates to the brief where people come together to support each other and enable us to heal and move on.

Materials used on this work are acrylics with some collage work.

The conceptual meaning relates to couples, families and individuals reaching out and finding love for love in humanity.

  • I am a retired nurse and have lived and worked in Pembrokeshire all my life.

I have three grown up children.

In 2005 I returned to art taking art classes with various art teachers including Bob Reeves, Who was influential in my art at that time.

I work in oils, acrylics, watercolours and pastels. My passion I think is for pastels. My subject work is very much influenced by colour, shape and texture and I paint what influences me at the time. I feel you have to have a feeling or connection for the picture to put your own style into the painting.

  • Artwork is painted onto 9mm thick plywood with a 2inch black frame, suitable for indoor display & will last for around 2 year’s outside, much longer if in a sheltered position, the artwork is varnished & robust.
