This stencil is based on a friend's child, who wove flowers into their hair and danced down a lane... singing.
The brief was to bring light and new life with a positive outlook, particularly in these dark, and restrictive times.

There are many boxes. I fit in none of them.
I stomp on the boxes, cut them up, and paint, draw, stencil, and tear apart, what is left, is art,
pure, raw and accomplished.
This is the bit where you learn about age, training and accomplishments… nah, look at my work. If you like it, I’m delighted, if you don’t… well no list of previous stuff will change your mind.
Art is a journey. You start and you finish, and the journey is the creation of something beautiful, challenging or striking. What remains is something that could outlive you.

Stencil is the purest form of drawing.
We have a line, reduce it to its most basic, and let your eyes make up the rest.
Draw a line, cut it and spray... war horse, rat or singing child, they are just lines, and we make art.
Taking influence from any period of art history, particularly the Renaissance, through Pre-Raphaelites, the illustrative styles of Blake, to Blyton, and spray artist 3D (Robert Del Naja), combining stencil with traditional and modern painting methods, this style is individual and instantly recognisable.
Artwork is painted onto 9mm thick plywood with a 2inch black frame, suitable for indoor display & will last for around 2 year’s outside, much longer if in a sheltered position, the artwork is varnished & robust.
