I had a lot of fun painting this and it marks the beginning of a long journey of artistic discovery for me. I love the night sky and when it came to deciding what to paint, I felt it a suitable goal to set myself. From there I let the picture pull itself together, leaving me with the desired result of a sky I can get lost in.I will make many sequels, they will have spaceships, meteorites and maybe some aliens.

Toby Newham - The Light of Night
Hi, I’m Toby and I am a part of the Breakout Team! I volunteer with the project and alongside Arthur Brooker, help to make this amazing event come together. For the last five months, Breakout has been at the epicentre of my life and I really cannot wait to show the world what we’ve been working on in the background.
Surrounding myself with Artwork and Artists so frequently was bound to inspire, so I took up the opportunity to create a peice for the Exhibition, which we’ve been working so hard to bring back to Haverfordwest this year. While I wouldn’t refer to myself as an artist, I have always loved art, and I am glad to be exploring that element of my creative side.
Artwork is painted onto 9mm thick plywood with a 2inch black frame, suitable for indoor display & will last for around 2 year’s outside, much longer if in a sheltered position, the artwork is varnished & robust.
